San Mateo Backpack Drive

Join us during the month of July for an opportunity to help support the Family Giving Tree’s back-to-school backpack drive. The Family Giving Tree is a Bay Area non-profit organization that has been granting wishes for joy and learning to over 2 million children and families since 1990. Since its launch in 1995, the Family Giving Tree’s back-to-school backpack drive has been on a mission to bridge the educational gap for K-12 students. Through the community of volunteers, the Family Giving Tree will be working to collect and distribute 30,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to students whose families struggle to provide even the basic tools needed for school.

Let’s get involved and help bring equity into our community’s classrooms. By participating in this drive, you will be supporting students in need by providing essential school supplies to ensure they are well-prepared for the academic year.

Freshworks will provide the backpacks, all we need from you is to help provide the school supplies that will go in the packs! Check out our Amazon wish list of school supplies that you can purchase. If you order through our wish list please select 'San Mateo Office Gift Registry Address' for the shipping address.  If you prefer, you are also welcome to supply the items from elsewhere. Please be sure to have all items dropped off in the San Mateo collection bins by July 24th. We will have an assembly line party to fill the backpacks on July 24th.
